In an August 2015 message to the author, Chakravarthi Raghavan, Editor Emeritus of South-North Development Monitor, pointed out that the meeting described in the article recommended "new world informal and communication structures," rather than one way information flows. However, the discussions eventually did lead to publication of the Special United Nations Service (SUNS). When Marc Nerfin's organization was unable to find funding to continue it, Raghavan took over responsibility. It continues to be published with a name change, South-North Development Monitor SUNS, www.sunsonline.org.
"Mystery," "loyalty," and "democracy" are words that Sven Hamrell uses often. If he were still alive, Dag Hammarskjöld would no doubt approve of the organization that bears his name.
